A Child's Story, Respiratory Infection

The first three years of Brittney's life could be described as DRUGS, STEROIDS, INHALERS, DOCTOR'S VISITS & EMERGENCY ROOM VISITS!

At age 8 weeks, Brittney had her first respiratory infection, and that infection proved to be the first of MANY! By age 2, she was close to being on antibiotics once a month. Every runny nose turned into a major respiratory infection. Every respiratory infection brought on asthma-like symptoms. Something everyone thinks of as simple became so difficult for Brittney … BREATHING.

From birthday #2 to birthday #3, Brittney was on antibiotics 150 days... that's five months! September 1995 we had spent 2 weekends in a row at the Emergency Room for breathing treatments. Finally after a year of begging the doctor and trying to convince him that something needed done, we were referred to an Allergy/Asthma Specialist. Finally, we thought, relief... WRONG!!

The Specialist started Brittney on a mild inhaler. She Went on stronger inhalers and 6 solid weeks of antibiotics. In February 1996, Brittney's asthma had gotten the worst it had ever been. For three days and nights we didn't sleep for fear she would stop breathing. After a series of allergy tests, the Specialist announced that Brittney would need an allergy shot every week. Imagine a three year old getting a shot every week.

That was it! It was time to take matters into our own hands. There had to be a better way. Our daughter was now immune to all antibiotics, over the counter cold medicines and she picked up every cold and virus that went around.

On February 14, 1996, we walked through the doors of Casses Chiropractic Clinic. A door that changed our lives forever. On February 14, 1996 Brittney t60k her last drug.

Since that day in February, we have all become stronger and healthier with chiropractic care. Brittney has had "just a cold" every now and again - which we have managed to get through with chiropractic adjustments - NO DRUGS.

In June of 1996, our son was born. He had his first adjustment at 5 days old. He is very healthy and has had no drugs. There is no better feeling then knowing (and seeing) that your kids are healthy and have immune systems of steel.

Nosebleeds & Severe Headaches
